Course Tutor: David Farmer

Stories and storytelling are crucial to helping children make sense of their world. This one-day INSET course provides a wealth of stimulating activities and approaches for bringing oral storytelling alive in the primary school, adding a new dimension to literacy and improving speaking, listening and writing.

You will participate in tried and tested story games and drama activities which will enthuse children and deepen understanding of story structure, characters and description. Participants have the opportunity to work with drama consultant David Farmer, network with colleagues to discuss common problems and devise solutions to take back to school.
