Course Tutor: David Farmer What is it? This one day course in London is all about devising theatre, starting with finding the right stimulus to spark off the initial ideas. This leads onto developing the performance style, the story and characters as you fan the flames during the developmental stage. Finally you need to shape, edit and polish your work - stoking the fire. Who is it for? The workshop will be of benefit to anybody involved in consensual theatre-making, whether it is with children, young people or adults. While the material used during the day will be pitched at the level of the participants, the methods can be easily adapted to suit your material and your performers. This unique approach has been developed by David Farmer, based on over thirty years of devising, directing and touring theatre. |
